Help Desk
Master Gardeners staff the "Help Desk" at the Fauquier County Extension Office to answer phoned-in gardening questions from the public and to assist individuals who bring in their gardening problems in person. During the main growing season, April through October, the Help Desk is open from 9 a.m. to noon: Monday through Friday (holidays excepted). Staffing is on a more irregular basis the rest of the year. The Extension Office is located at 24 Pelham Street in Warrenton, and the Help Desk telephone number is 540-341-7950 ext 1. Farmer's Market

Master Gardeners are present each Saturday morning from May through September at the Warrenton Farmers Market to help educate gardeners on viable horticultural practices and to assist with gardening problems. Anyone who has a plant problem may bring a specimen for diagnosis and advise in treatment. The Farmers Market is located in Warrenton at 5th Street and West Lee Street.

"Green" Grass is more than a color

Virginia Cooperative Extension in Fauquier County has a new program called "Green" Grass to develop nutrient management plans for homeowners. This plan will help grass growers know when and how much fertilizer and other treatments such as lime to apply to their lawn. Available from April 1st until September 30th.
